The Centre for Animal Law Advocacy (CALA) was founded in 2014 as a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing the rights of animals and animal protection through legal advocacy, engagement, public education, awareness, and policy reform.
Through a combination of expert advocacy, education, spearheading campaigns, and reform efforts, CALA works across Canada, the U.S., and North America to create meaningful, systemic change that improves the lives of animals, animal rights, and legal protections.
With legal expertise and compassionate leadership, CALA empowers others to advance the legal system for animals. It is intended to help advocates, changemakers, educators, whistleblowers, and other people who care about animal rights to speak up and promote stronger laws and systemic changes that give animals a meaningful voice in the legal system.
